Return of the loss of the arch of cervical lordosis
The patient at first complained of severe neck pain, dizziness and headaches. After physical examinations, the diagnosis was determined as loss of cervical lordosis which also had caused narrowing of intervertebral space by affecting the intervertebral disk and giving neurological symptoms such as dizziness and headache.
Treatment: The treatment protocol was determined after the visit. At the beginning, treatment was focused on the release and stretching of the contracted neck and back muscle. At this stage the main objective is to release contractures and reduce pain. After the pain was reduced, we used manual cervical tractions to increase disk space. This gives immediate relief of neurological symptoms and the patient did not complain anymore about headaches or dizziness.
After these two stages, the treatment protocol consists of the use of specific exercise therapy with elongated and strengthening exercises to give the lost cervical lordosis the proper form and strengthen the cervical column.
At the end of the sessions, the patient was instructed to follow the home treatment plan through personalized exercises explained by video.
